Before I breed a German shepherd they need to be two years old with a working title, a show rating, temperament test and genetic testing done including hip X-rays.
The Xrays must be done correctly with proper positioning. Without proper position the hips can go from normal hips to hips showing dysplasia.
We as breeders have seen many X-rays that just won’t pass because of improper position. Its most unfortunate that so many veterinarians do not know what proper positioning is and therefore give a wrong diagnosis.
